About
Arden Hajaligholi is an Iranian-American visual artist from Washington D.C, who received her BFA in Kinetic Imaging from Virginia Commonwealth University in December of 2020.
She grew up in a dual-culture household to an Iranian father, and an American mother. Her mother, being an avid Star Wars and Marvel fan, introduced Arden into the world of comic books, graphic novels, Sci-Fi, cartoons, and video games as soon as she was old enough to walk. Arden's personal inspirations include 80's and 90's anime, Ukiyo-e and Sansui paintings, Illuminated Persian manuscripts, as well as futurism and anthropocentric concepts. Her traditional artwork is distinguished by red and black hues, intricate line art, and cyber-heroines.
Arden currently works as an online freelance video editor, 3D animator, and visual artist (@arden.obj on Instagram).
